We recently shot a Kickstarter campaign video with the help of local photographer John Hanson, which included some captivating slow-motion footage of Jesy and I singing one of our alt-country duets, Lights Off. With a new album! Here’s the latest sonogram. Doesn’t it look like some strange biological process is taking place here? Cilia and flagellum and what-have-you, all churning about willy-nilly. I’m always looking for a way to make the whole mess a bit more organized. I think we’re past the halfway mark now on bringing this thing to term. A little update about the Ribbons of Song happs around here: Our bassist, Sam Snedeker, recently completed an amazing (brief) performance piece wherein he suspended himself by a rope from two trees, wearing red tights and body paint, surrounded by blazing kerosene torches. This was at a major intersection in our neighborhood at dawn. He (miraculously) escaped any legal repercussions, and was in good spirits following the ordeal.
